Based upon Margaret Mitchell’s best-selling “story of the Old South,” Scarlett O’Hara, a manipulative woman, and Rhett Butler, a roguish man, conduct a turbulent romance during the American Civil War and Reconstruction periods. The cast includes Leslie Howard, Olivia de Havilland, Thomas Mitchell, Barbara O’Neil, Hattie McDaniel, and Butterfly McQueen.
