HAND PAINTED Folk Art Wood House Model Shelf Stander of the
Sang Run Friends Store
in Oakland Maryland MD USA
The site of a store and trading post for trappers and ginseng dealers in the 19th century, the  Sang Run Friends Store and Friends Delight Homestead date back to the early 1800’s.  The property was donated to Maryland in 2008, and became a state park in 2011.
The Friends Store is now a popular general store as part of the State Park, with a ranger who can share the history of the area.
This model pre-dates the Park, and was commissioned by the Hinebaugh family who formerly owned the property – a very limited edition, not available for over 30 years
Solid wood and handpainted
Handpainted by the artist Jim For Hometowne and Signed by the artist on the bottom
Painted on BOTH sides
Dated 1990
Sized 3 ” tall and 6 1/4 ” wide. Thickness of wood is 3/4″
perfect for wall mounting or prop up in display cabinets or shelves
